ShopSys, one of the biggest e-commerce site developers in CEE region, has been working on an open-source platform, ShopSys Framework, which can save thousands of hours otherwise dedicated to development. Company’s priority to introduce the Framework to international markets will be backed by an investment of 550,000 € from INCOMMING ventures and Reflex Capital.
ShopSys, the biggest provider of technical online shop development services in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, currently covers more than 450 e-commerce sites. The company focuses on medium-size and large-size companies with fast-growing abilities. Among its clients are some of the biggest international online shops such as OfficeDepot or Zippo.
For 36 months, ShopSys has been building a scalable e-commerce platform, ShopSys Framework, that will allow companies to adapt and customize their online shops easily. ”Many shop-developers and thousands of highly customized e-shops build their own platforms, nowadays, this process is very inefficient. ShopSys Framework will allow these companies and their developers to focus more on fast implementation, customization and innovation which are crucial in the development process, ” as Peter Svoboda, founder of ShopSys, explains the main issue that lead to the development of the PHP e-commerce platform.
ShopSys Framework delivers an agile, customizable and scalable solution that will provide fast-growing and leading e-commerce sites better focus. More than 14 years’ experience enable ShopSys to effectively incorporate company’s know-how, technical support and regular updates in order to create an easy-to-adapt tool for developers. The platform’s architecture is purposely created in a way, which gives space for feedback and support when it comes to consultation, code-review, performance audits and more.
The aim of the open-source platform is to establish better efficiency and free developers from some of their routine tasks which result in saving thousands of working hours in a long term. ShopSys Framework can be implemented by in-house developers or even outsourcing companies which may lower some of the costs and increase their quality standards.
Recent investment of 550,000 € from INCOMMING ventures and Reflex Capital will contribute to the expansion of ShopSys Framework to international markets. The synergies between priorities of the company and goals of investors are explained by Michal Mička, founder of INCOMMING ventures and Ondřej Fryc, founder of Reflex Capital: ”We focus on investing in interesting projects in e-commerce. ShopSys is the leader in e-shop development in which we see growth potential and we believe in company’s international expansion.”
