We’re excited to announce the release of a new version of the Shopsys Platform! As always, this release includes a variety of new features, enhancements for developer experience, design improvements, and other updates based on valuable feedback from our users. Let’s explore some of the most notable changes.
New features
Out of stock products behavior (#3587)
Out-of-stock products are now considered sellable. The “in stock”/”out of stock” label is displayed on product lists and detail pages on the storefront. Such products are also exported to XML feeds, where administrators can set the number of delivery days.

Watchdog (#3640)
Customers are now able to monitor the availability of sold-out products and are automatically notified when the products are in stock again.

Product inquiries (#3465)
The administrators now have the option to mark products as ”upon inquiry”. These products will have their prices hidden, and customers won’t be able to purchase them directly but can submit an inquiry via a form on the storefront.

Shipping restrictions (#3397)
Administrators can now define multiple price levels for shipping based on the total weight of the products in the cart, ensuring fair pricing for customers. Additionally, admins can exclude specific shipping options for certain products, preventing customers from selecting inappropriate shipping methods (e.g., due to product dimensions).

Promo code for free shipping and payment (#3625)
Administrators can now create a new type of promo code that offers customers free shipping and payment benefits.

Admin can limit managed domains (#3289)
Administrators can now choose only the domains they are interested in, and this selection will apply to all multidomain and localized fields. This is especially beneficial for projects managing numerous domains.

Administration locale select (#3577)
Administrators can now seamlessly switch the administration localization, with the ability to programmatically define the available locales for selection.

Admin: sending test mail templates on click (#3639)
When styling a mail template, developers and administrators can now easily send a test email with all variables, without triggering the actual action (e.g. placing an order). A “Send test mail” button is added to the template edit page, allowing the selection of an email address and entity identifier from which to fill the variables.

Security enhancements
Administrator password settings (#3606)
When creating a new e-shop administrator, setting a password is no longer possible. Instead, an activation email with password setup instructions is sent to the new administrator. The same applies to existing administrators when changing their passwords.

A user is logged out after his role is changed (#3458)
When an account owner on the B2B domain updates a user’s permissions, the user is logged out from all devices to apply the new role immediately. For more details on the advanced customer structure for B2B domains, refer to the documentation.
Design improvements
We are continually enhancing the design of the Shopsys Platform, with the primary goal of simplifying custom design implementation for individual projects. The key appearance changes are outlined below.
- Redesigned homepage (#3446)
- Redesigned category page (#3435)
- Add and unify storefront animations (#3469)
- Polished menu animations (#3580)
- Admin: improve the appearance of the data grid (#3609)
Developer experience enhancements
To keep our key technologies up to date, we’ve upgraded Symfony to version 6.4 LTS (#3584). Developer experience has always been our priority, and we continuously work to enhance it. In this version, we’ve made significant improvements to automated tests, including the following:
- Add parallel and regenerate to Gitlab pipelines (#3630)
- Stabilise Cypress tests locally (#3562)
- Simplify Cypress snapshots (#3585)
- Frontend API testing on b2b domain (#3508)
- Functional tests are now run per folder for faster execution (#3642)
