We proudly announce the latest major version of the Shopsys Framework – v12.0.0. This version is marked as LTS (Long-Term Support), and we intend to actively support it and bring security updates for 2 years until September 2025. This update brings several improvements and bug fixes. Upgrading to this version should be straightforward.
What’s new in Shopsys Framework?
- CDN support (#2602) – You can easily set the domain of your CDN, which will improve the availability of static content for your customers. Nevertheless, you can use modern image formats such as WebP and improve page speed loads. This change also leads to load reduction on your server.
- Integrated support for cloud deployment (#2609) – Some handy steps will be made during the deployment of the new application version, such as turning on the maintenance page only in case there are new database migrations present, stopping scheduled tasks in the background (Cron) and effective work with shared storage such as a cache of error pages.
- Package updates – For example, “doctrine/orm” for managing database, “overblog/graphql-bundle” for frontend API. This is made in order to ensure higher security, sustainability, and effectiveness during the development of your e-shop.
