We proudly announce the latest version of the Shopsys Framework, version 11.1.0. This update brings several significant changes that improve the user experience and security and brings new capabilities for developers. Below is an overview of this release’s fundamental changes and new features.
What’s new in Shopsys Framework?
- Limit the number of login attempts (#2599) – Administrators and users now have a maximum of 5 login attempts per minute (these values can be adjusted). This increases system security and reduces the risk of unauthorized access.
- Ability to change allowed emails in the administration (#2592) – Administrators can now edit the settings for sending emails from the shop directly from the administration. This configuration is available on a per-domain level, which is especially useful when testing domains that have not yet been launched.
- Editable robots.txt content (#2591) – Administrators can edit robots.txt content directly from the administration – this way, simple changes can be made without developer intervention.
- Category-specific banner ads (#2583) – It is now possible to have a more targeted marketing strategy.
- Cron Job Overview (#2581) – The new overview now includes detailed graphs showing each job’s start times and duration. This change makes it easier to detect unusual behavior and improves tracking of events in the shop.
Improvements for developers
For developers, Shopsys Framework version 11.1.0 brings several significant changes and tools that make their work easier and more efficient.
- Cron Configuration (#2584) – You can now set the frequency of cron jobs to run up to 1 minute, allowing more frequent and timely background processing.
- Modifying columns in a grid (#2564) – Changing the order of columns in grids in administration is now easier and more flexible.
- Mutagen for macOS (#2593) – The more stable Mutagen has been introduced for developers using macOS instead of docker-sync.
- URL error logging (#2666) – If someone accesses a URL without submitting the form, error 405 is logged instead of error 500, making it easier to manage and review errors.
